Reframing: A Counseling Tool for the Consulting Astrologer
Jacqueline L. Janes, a psychotherapist and consulting astrologer, describes how the language of Astrology – houses, signs, and aspects -can be used as reframing tools to broaden a client’s perspective of themselves and of presenting problems. “Reframing”, a term in the lexicon of therapists, is a technique that expands the client’s language of his or her experience by using a descriptive word with just a slightly different tone or describing an experience from a different vantage point, or even exploring possible different reactions to the happenings in ones life. Reframing life situations stimulates new perspectives and enhances consciousness of life processes.
